Help me make a sandy bridge system for a clan member.

Thread Starter
One of my clan members can't run any of the latest games, and well I came across some money and was going to help that person by making him a system.

I am going to need everything minus the OS (Monitor, keyboard, mouse, psu, cpu, motherboard, ram, GPU, Case, ect...)

My requirements:
A. under 1800$ usd if possible
B. Every part needs to be a similar color (red or blue)
C. Case needs to have a window on it and there must be good cable management. Like the 800D for example since it has the rubber grommets and the backplate for the cpu.
D. I do not want ANY parts from ASUS in this build. You be trolling if you add ASUS parts (bad experience with them, won't go back).

I prefer Corsair, EVGA, Logitech, and I guess Western Digital

I was looking at using the i5-2500k and the gtx 570 and the hyper 212. Anything else I don't really care about.

Thanks for your time in advance

Tell if you cant see the link or not. Its just under $1800 before MIR. Even gave you a 570 and a new Intel 120GB SSD all in a Silverstone Raven Case. Tell me what you think.

I have heard 800d is a poor air cooling case unless heavily modded.

I have the 800D and i'm not planning on building a system with a case like that because
A. it's huge, there is no way I would need all that room.
B. Like you said, airflow.
I went back and edited my post. I guess the main thing im concerned about is rubber grommets and a way of accessing the mobo from the back where the cpu is (for changing the cooler). Just looking for clean cable management. I had the antec 902 at one point and the cable management was awful IMO.

Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D Case

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3

CPU: 2500k

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH (2x4GB) (comes in black and red colour)

GPU: 6950 (reference would be good so you can unlock it, but doesn't matter much) It costs way less than the 570 and can run all the current games at max on 1080.

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer OR Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium

PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 800W OR Corsair HX-750 Power Supply OR Enermax NAXN 850W Modular 82+ (which ever is cheaper from where your buying)

SSD: Vertex 2 60GB or 80GB if they're on sale

HDD: 1TB Spinpoint F3 or RAID 0 2x500GB or even RAID 0 2x1TB

CPU Cooler: SilverArrow

Monitor: Acer G245h, excellent value.

Keyboard: Razer Lycosa

Mouse: Any Razer mouse that your friend finds comfortable..

Optical Drive: Any cheap Bluray or DVD player

Ok so as to Gnarlybug5 and everyone else suggestions I went with
2500k
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3
Corsair Obsidian Series 650D
MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III
8gb G.skill sniper F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR
Corsair h60
Corsair Builder Series CX600 psu
Samsung f3 1tb drive
Acer G245HBbd Black 24 monitor
Logitech g9x mouse
Looking for a good deal on the g510 for a keyboard

I probably should have grabbed a better psu (80plus certified) but if it dies while i'm building it then we will see about replacing it. Case is with the modder atm

so in this picture I realised that the motherboard didn't have an "on button" directly on it(like the e760 from EVGA) so instead of taking apart my computer completly I just removed the power button, reset, and hdd light from my 800D and hooked it up to the gigabyte board (yes it's on a chair)

will add more photos once the case is in.

Looks solid. That's a lot o' boxes for all that. They packed my recent shipment muuuch more efficiently.
