On what firmware are you on? 4.3.3 can't be currently jailbroken (actually you can but the jailbrake will reset everytime you reboot the iPod, so stick with 4.3 for now)
The problem redsnow shows is that you haven't selected the correct IPSW file. This file should contain the firmware of your device. What redsnow does is that it patches that firmware, and then installs it on your device, replacing the stock one.
The firmware should be located here:
C:\\Users\\USERNAMEHERE\\AppData\\Roaming\\Apple Computer\\iTunes\\iPod Software Updates\\
BUT, it won't show up if iTunes hasn't downloaded it. So, if you updated the iPod with iTunes on your computer, the file should be there.
If it isn't then you need to download it from the internet (search felixbruns firmware on google and its the first link).
If you have 4.3.3 already and want to jailbreak now, the I recommend you downgrade
, and then jailbreak
this may sound a bit overwhelming, but it actually is very simple. Hope it solves your problems!Edited by hugo19941994 - 5/5/11 at 11:04pm
