I don't like those games which are like $9.99 on Steam and all you do is solve puzzles :S. Probably a better way to put it is that I am extremely naive and ignorant

Haha, that's not an indie game, that's a casual game. You're not exactly the target demographic there.

Some indie games I love are Amnesia the Dark Decent, Magicka, and Minecraft.

How many copies has minecraft sold now ?

I don't know if you are trolling or not OP, seems weird.

Most of my indie games I tend to play a whole lot more then the big AAA productions and they are generally a fraction of the cost.

recently reached 2 million.

to OP:

i think you are assuming most "small" games are indie games, and that is not the case.

for example, bejeweled isnt an indie game at all, popcap, a fairly large company is behind it.

some example of recent great indie games are:
killing floor, super meat boy, vvvvvv, minecraft, world of goo, machinarium, etc...

i suggest you give true indie games a try, you will not like some of them, but you can find great games among them, in some cases, better than any AAA title.

most indie games are between 10 and 20 dollars, and all of the ones i mentioned above are available on steam, dont let the pricepoint fool you, that has nothing to do with the quality of the game.

if you dont like puzzle games, you will probably not like indie puzzle solving games, but you still have a huge selection to choose, FPS, RTS, Graphic adventures, platformers, etc..

The mount and blade games were on sale recently on steam. Probably one of the best indie games I have played.

Yeah, there's many indie games and movies that are good. I like Minecraft a lot. I still found this funny, though:

I play some indie games, but I just can't stay attach for too long. I think Killing Floor is the most I spent, which is 6hrs overall playtime. Is Mount&Blade series an indie game?
