id Tech Engine, which had full mod support in all verisons of it. Not to say I'm surprise, but more like I expected to have full support.

I thought this was going to run like that mind-numbing gamebryo engine Bethesda used for olivion/fallout, but it actually seems to respond like a real PC game should. congrats on making a game I'm interested in!

Dude......its id Software, they pioneered FPS gaming and use their own tech (Rage is using id Tech 5 engine)

This is excellent news for PC gaming. Modding is one of the KEY features of PC gaming. Forget the superior hardware and input devices (mouse + keyboard), modding is the biggest advantage PC gaming has over consoles.

The recent decline in games supporting modding is the reason for these stupid map packs and paid DLC devs/publishers sell these days. Previously, the community made those maps that kept the game fresh. Now people have to pay $10-$15 to get 3 or 4 new maps, that going back 4 years ago, a modder would have made for free.

Lets hope support for modding will start to increase again!

Also, looks to be a golden year for PC gaming. The Witcher 2, RAGE, BF3, Skyrim. Lets hope this trend continues as we see PC gaming get back to the top (which some analysts suggest it will )

RAGE is a must buy for me now! Great stuff id software! I knew you wouldn't let me down!

So true.

I love playing & creating mods.

Im hoping that this means they are going to go with dedicated servers now instead of the matchmaking system like MW2 had.

Ugh, I wish people would quit blaming Gamebryo for Bethesda's incompetence. All kinds of Gamebryo games ran/run just fine, the reason Oblivion and Fallout games had issues wasn't Gamebryo.
