If it is new I would suggest to get a see-through sticker for the keys, to keep your keys from aging(such as shininess and dirty legends).

Check my post regarding my first impression and about the see-through stickers.

Nice to hear you like it! The keyboard is used...the seller said he purchased it just over a week ago and used it only for an hour or so. That's all the information I have so far.

I suspect he got it at the local popular computer shop and he can't return it. This shop has had some abuse of the return policy in the past, so they offer 7-days return for any reason and 30-days return only if defective.

He says he got it and then later changed his mind about the keyboard. So, for half the price it normally goes for ($99 CAD + tax here), I've given some thought of taking it off his hands. wink.gif

ah gotcha....well that 6Gv2 needs a loyal and caring owner and for $50 you can't go wrong.

Nothing is more satisfying for first person shooters than MX Blacks. That said, it's a great keyboard for typing as well, I've had mine for two months.

OK...so, I just picked up the keyboard from the seller. I'm typing on it now and I'm quite impressed! Personally, I think the MX Black switches are OK as this is my first mechanical keyboard. They have some of the familiar feel of a rubber dome board, but feel much higher quality. I don't know if the MX Blues, for example, would have suited me right now. Maybe down the road, I can give some others switches a try.

Regardless, I really like the feel of these. I'm not sure how to describe it, but the keys have a real solid feel to them. Also, the keyboard itself feels really well built. I think when I'm not typing, this could double as a weapon of some kind. wink.gif

Anyway...for $50 I'm quite happy. I don't think there would have been a much better deal out there for a keyboard of this quality. Thanks again for all the replies and +Rep to everyone.

I'm typing on mine now. Only things I don't like is the placement of the "?" key and I wish it was backlit. The "?" key is usually directly left of the shift key. On the 6Gv2 it's an extra space over and I'm still not totally used to it. Sometimes I have to look down to hit it. I also wish it was backlit.

Other then that it's great!

I don't know why you would want backlight. Makes things look like a toy. I prefer my professional look of the keyboard.

Also, if you wanted to ligthen up things a bit, you can order red or blue WASD keys for the thing.

Some backlighting may look kid-like, but this thing looks like a Professional Christmas Monster! eek.gif

Well that looks better. But IMO that looks like some model M that someone ghetto modded backlighting into.

Still a no-no for me
