From what I understand the way the PS3 folds is different. Just like the way CPU and GPU fold.

different models. they all provide good data, and they probably get a better understanding reconciling all the different models. So PS3 folding, while on a PPU standpoint is inferior, from a practical standpoint in helping to find cures is for sure beneficial.

I run a old PS3 folding 24/7 in the winter. sort of like a little space heater + helps science as an added benefit

I bought my PS3 with Linux in mind.

Many wanted a bd playing media machine that they could run an other OS on.

The beauty of FOSS is that you can always DL the source code and compile it to run on different architectures...

Granted, I don't know the limitations of recompiling like that, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard.

The biggest issue I see with using WINE to game on a PS3 is the hardware limitations. The PS3 is made to run games a certain way, and running a compatibility layer on top of a foreign OS isn't going to work well at all.

How is this website DL and hack prevent the Supoena's action that Sony has done in the past to get the IP's of all the person's that downloads GeoHot's code.

Like moth's to a flame...

Am I the only one that takes that viewpoint? I'm not running to do anything. Well, also I have 5 PC's/laptops/tablet machines, a PS3, and Wii...oh & iPhone(s) in the house. I don't need to hack my PS3.
