Sence its a very early build it's probably for heat issues. Dose the xbox 60 have is much air flow as a decent mid tower i think not. Any way im sure they will make there own case.

Who said better looking? First off dev's in general don't have the talent to make better looking games than a xbox 360 can run since they have been limiting themselves to it for nearly 6 years and then porting to everything else. So even IF the hardware is vastly superior in the wii 2 it won't make an impact for at least a year. Dev's will happily port 360 games to it and call it a day. Why spend the money on a small install base is the plain argument and you can see it in every console launch since the ps1.

Also Nintendo likes money better than pretty graphics. They will more than likely stick in the cheapest hardware they can find that will just barely pull off hd resolutions and profit on hardware sales.

Unless your argument is that in order for Microsoft to compete they NEED vastly superior graphics there isn't much point to an upgrade.

Does anyone remember what happened last time Microsoft rushed a console release?

Pfft...Considering how long it took for them to get the 360 right and ABOVE Original Xbox level of graphics for vast majority of games (3 years for the former, 1-2 years for the latter), I think I'll pass on this for the next few years too. I'm waiting for this to mature as well, I'm not falling for their "rush" (i.e. cash grab) releases.

I really don't know why people think it's going to be called the "Xbox 720." That alias pisses me off.
Anyway I'm ready for another Xbox. If the two could co-exist that would be cool too.

I can't help but wonder if the recent negative publicity Sony received is also one of the reasons to show something new sooner then expected.

Very interested to see what the specs will be on this one.
