EDIT: If you didn't get the joke, let me spell it out for you:

The joke is about M$ just building a PC and calling it an early Xbox prototype.

LLLLLMMMMMFFFFFAAAAAAOOOOOOO!!!

Seriously though, I hope they don't, I like my xbox 360, at least for another 2 years... I suppose it is just a peak at it... they won't release it till... well, probably 2 years from now...

*= note I said NEXT Xbox. Not Xbox 720. Microsoft is not naming it that, it's ok to say assuming like Wii 2 or PS4 but not 720. Cmon

Really, who gives a crap? It's just a placeholder.

the Xbox already has 1080p, always has. 16x AA would be cool on any console though

Except it can hardly play any 1080p native games.

this has got to be a troll post. anyone who has used both knows better.

Wrong, it can't do any, lol. The max is 720P, and the "1080" setting just scales it up. PS3 can do 1080P though.

I hope so. I'd appreciate next gen consoles to finally come out so that developers will be able to better use current PC hardware. Current gen consoles are holding back the true potential of PC games with many developers because a lot of PC games are ports from consoles...

You don't know what you're talking about. Please go educate yourself:

http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread.php?t=46241

Examples
Quote:
Fifa Street 3 = 1920x1080 (4xAA)
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel = 1920x1080 for any HD output (including PC res), 1280x960 for 4:3 output, 1376x768 for 480p widescreen (no AA)
Virtua Tennis 3 = 1920x1080 (2xAA)

These are examples from a post made 3 years ago, there are plenty more at this point. The point is, it can do 1080p, just like the PS3. What's funny is that you're arguing for the PS3, which has a slower GPU and no built-in memory for AA.
