Comparision between (T6200 & DA5000pro) and between 2 sound cards

dear members ;

i have 3 questions and would like you to answer them for me ,

first question :

i have Creative sound system T6200 ( here)

and I'm willing to buy Edifier DA5000 PRO (here)

the question is : will it worth to upgrade from Creative to Edifier ?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second Question :

i have Creative sound card > Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer (here)

and i'm willing to buy : Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Audio System with THX SB1095 ( here )

the question is will it worth to upgrade from Xtreme gamer to Sound blaster Pro ?

- is the Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Audio System with THX SB1095 is the best " EXTERNAL" Sound Card around 60$

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last question : If i bought the Edifier DA5000pro and connected to the " external" sound card ,will it work smoothly or there would be a Conflict ?

** is there any thing i should know before buying the " External" sound card and the Sound System ?

thanks for your time and for your help

why dont you buy a Sound Card with headphone AMP you can get the ASUS DG for less than 50$
more money to spend=get the ASUS DX (has no headphone amp but its really great card) for 100$
BUT since you do have the xtreme gamer i think the upgrading is useless unless if you went for high end cards (creative Titanium HD 150$ , Xonar STX 170$ , HT Omega Claro Halo 240$)

personally i dont trust external sound solutions

I appreciate your concern , but ;

1- My Xtreme gamer card is failing for about 2 months now and I need an new card , since my new MB will not have enough PCI slot so i thought of getting the External sound card , that was my idea

2- i compared the xtreme gamer card with the "External" usb card because i don't like spending money and down-grading instead of up-grading

3-The ASUS DG uses PCI slot so we are back to the same problem , but ASUS DX uses PCI-E (1x) so this may be a problem solver

4- the problem now with ASUS DX 's price is too high for me , but I'm willing to consider the ASUS if it provide a better audio quality than the creative "External" USB card

So the final question , the ASUS DX is better than creative sound blaster USB by what percentage ? is it worth it the 30$ difference ?

thanks again for your help , and i'm sorry for these many inquires

lets have it simple this way:
about the DX yes it worth the 30$ ,
the DX is now considered one of best sound cards in the market considering (Performance+Price) cause frankly an external sound card is no match for internal card why?

see sound cards are not just about SnR or sample rate (which already the DX beats the X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro)
its about the build quality along side with power systems (circuits ,AMPs,ACs and board quality) with surely the Audio processor that the card has are main keys of a good sound card
here is a small guide i made lately (maybe it will help understanding)
http://www.overclock.net/sound-cards...beginners.html

the external sound are made for people who suffers from full PCI rigs but now the PCIe solved it (that's why PCIe cards are so common now)

and in your case you don't need to use (Plan B) in sound , cause frankly the xtreme gamer that you had is far better form the USB your are thinking about so you can imagine the DX result already

and you said earlier that the purpose is Music/Movies and the Xonar beats X-Fi in that category

so you are going (down) from X-Fi to another X-Fi that might suffer from the same famous issue with drivers (i guess that what you meant by the word failing) on other hand ASUS is known for its stale drivers

sorry for that long speech i just wanted it crystal clear
tamam ya beh

first of all i'm shocked from (tamam ya beh) , so let me welcome you

second , you really made it crystal clear about the asus DX

third , the Xtreme gamer card is failing in both drivers and hardware , its giving me a headache

fourth ; i will get the ASUS as you instructed , so I've 2 final questions

1- will the ASUS DX work smoothly and perfectly with my new set ( Edifier DA5000 PRO) ?

2- can I install the ASUS sound card in my current MB ? here

until i get my new MB , as you will notice that there is 2 PCIe (1x) , one over the graphics card and the other is under the graphics card

now the PCIe (1x) under the graphics card will be useless , the one above it seems to be blocked by a heat-sink , can you see what i mean :

thanks again ya m3lem

1-i have to be frank with you i don't know much about Speakers so maybe if you take another opinion it will be better, but don't worry the DX will perform just the way you want, but my concern is about the connectivity side
BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT cause maybe will have to buy an external amp i do not know just warning you
if it didn't work maybe we will have to cancel the DX (money are going to be spent ,right) just make sure of this

2- all PCIe cards have the same installation direction so the card will fit in this little Zanga to explain i draw attached pic
and of course you know that all PCI(x1) need extra power source (4pin plug) its boxed always (make sure on that if want to buy it)
