ASUS VE247H vs. ASUS VE248H

Comparison for the two of them.

Only difference in this is their pixel pitch and brightness (only a little) and their screen size but the VE247H is 23.6 and the VE248H is 24. However, their dimensions are the same VE248H (22.41" x 16.13" x 7.91") and VE247H (22.42" x 16.13" x 7.91)

I'm not too familiar when it comes to monitors but will there be any difference since one of the monitors are 23.6 inch and the other one being 24 inch yet still having the same dimensions? Also, would it be wise to buy a LCD-LED backlight monitor or am I better off with a regular LCD.

I can get the 23.6 inch monitor for about 40$ less as well.

Asus VH238H. It has LED back lighting and the picture is really solid. You can pick it up for $170 after rebate on Newegg

Well, I looked up on the ghosting issues on the Asus VExxx monitors and to be honest I really cannot tell the difference and couldn't tell whether or not the monitor had ghosting. I'm simply looking for a 24inch monitor that looks nice (has nice borders like the Asus monitors) and produce clear and vibrant pictures. Though, should I really be worried about "ghosting", I'm planning on using this for my PS3 and other PC gaming. I've been looking at some LG and Samsung monitors, here's one I might consider Samsung BX2431 if the ghosting on the Asus ones are as bad as people claim they are. Decided to change my budget to 180ish to 210ish after tax.

I got two VH236H, they work and look awesome. I just picked up 3rd one for surround and some high reso gaming. Got each one for $178 plus a $20 rebate. Not bad for $158 from Amazon, free shipping, no sales tax and recycle fee (really depends in which state you are in).

Hm, I'm really bent on getting a 24inch exactly, nothing less. Was just wondering if it was a good idea to get the BX2431 in eyefinity or should I look for a diff one if I want eyefinity?

I want to get the ve248h as well and It seems as if the 248 has thinner bezels and that is why it has the same dimensions as the 247. I saw the 247 in person and the bezels were to big for me. I am waiting to see if my local store gets them back so I can try them out and return them easy if I dont like them. So far I like my Acers though. Dont notice any ghosting either. Crysis looks really good at 5760x1080 at gamer settings for everything.

Maybe they fixed the ghosting issues in the new one's, but I just picked the 247 up and it's fine. No ghosting, No color bleed, bright as hell. I spent 169 on this thing and seriously can't imagine anything else in this price range being this good.

Go for it.

Is it true that the screen sizes of the VE247H and VE248H are almost exactly the same? I presume they are smaller than other 24 inch monitors.
