This mobo is not oc friendly, but it can run any AMD AM3 cpu at stock without a problem. It has a 4 phase power on this mobo.
The whole vrm issue thing is over-exaggerated. I've built 4 rigs for clients and used all those 4 free boards for each build. They each have 965 at stock and I haven't heard any complaints from my clients so far, it's been 3-4 months.

Edit: to be safer, you can always undervolt the stock vid which is usually higher than needed anyways.
