Rosewill 630W for Dual GTX 560 2GB?

Thread Starter
I plan on upgrading my system by getting another GTX 560 and the power supply I have right now is going in a previous build.
Will the Rosewill 630W power supply work for SLI GTX 560 2GB + i5 2500k + 8GB RAM/

If not, I need one under $95 that will.. I'm ordering the other GTX 560 + PSU today.

I'd go with a better brand. Personally, I prefer Seasonic. S12II is within your budget.

Theoretically it can, but if your Corsair 750w is still within a year or so from you bought it I suggest using it rather than the Rosewill. If you cannot use that Rosewill in this other computer than invest in a Corsair 430CX, if worse comes to worst look into a new corsair 750, Seasonic 650-700 for a last option.

Since you don't list where you are from I am going to assume the United States.

Corsair 650TX 650w PSU. 70$ after rebate.

Much better than that Rosewill garbage.

Rosewill Green Series 630W is not that bad really, and can actually do 630W in spec:

One cause for concern might be that you would have to use molex -> PCI-E power adapters. Note that peripheral cables on that unit are 20 AWG, which is thinner than is standard and maybe not really what you want feeding a graphics card (through molex through adapter).

Seasonic S12II Bronze 620W is certainly better, and better than the old Corsair TX650 as well. But better than those is the Corsair TX650 V2 or XFX Core Edition 650W (both are identical Seasonic internals of higher quality than S12II). The XFX unit actually has 4 PCI-E power connectors and is going for $90 before $20 rebate:

Thank you guys.

Also, the Corsair 750W wasn't mine, was borrowing it until I could afford my own smile.gif

Your RG-630 should be fine for your needs, no need to go for an S12II or something.

This PSU is far from a garbage unit actually, Rosewill doesn't always make bad PSUs
