haf 932 possible i/o usb mod?

Thread Starter
I was wondering if its possible to mod the i/o panel to have the usb hubs right side up. I hadn't even noticed they were upside down until I had to plug in my Jim Raynor usb today and noticed the headers were placed so the face of my usb is now facing downwards. Didn't have this problem on the 922. What in the world were the designers thinking?

- Are the headers for the usb soldered to the pcb?
- If yes is it possible to just desolder and remount?

As far as I know the new 932 revisions with usb 3.0 still carry is flawed i/o panel.

I do not have that case so I do not know for definate but in theory you should be able to

You will have to take it apart and have a look to really know

depending on how its all in there, some case use separate boards for everything so you could just flip the usb board round and glue in place but if not then you will have to desolder the usb connectors, flip them over and glue in place (if careful enough it is possible on most usb to pull the ground tabs round and resolder but obviously then you would have to switch the cable round as you will be inverting the pins on the connector) after glued just make some jumper wires from the original solder points from the connector or if thats too tight solder to the back off the usb input connector on the board

Hope that all makes sense?
