You can't really shop around in the UK, you can only really buy them brand new from TheyKeyboardCo.
At those prices, you can pretty much choose any keyboard you want, pay for international shipping, and still come out around the same price.

I was in the same boat as you. I had been with rubber dome keyboards all of my life, went to check Das' site, saw the Ultimate blank keyboard, saw the price and nearly had a heart attack.

Watched a few videos on YouTube and decided I'd give it a shot. It arrived a few days later, the SECOND I started typing on it I began crying tears of joy. It's literally euphoria right at the tip of your fingers.

GET A MECH KEYBOARD, DO IT.

Indeed. Thanks for your input,

From where? You mean used?

Problem is, you folks use that silly layout with the tiny little enter key, which would drive me insane.

As I said, I've owned Mechanicals before and I know how awesome they are, it's just I've never spent this much on a singular keyboard before.

Don't know much about importing, never done it myself, but wont import tax/vat be payable on anything coming into the country from outside of the EU (unless it's marked as a gift), and of course you would have to get used to the slight differences in layout.

If it genuinely comes out cheaper, could be worth considering if you don't mind waiting.

Yeah, hardly any retailers will mark as a gift, sadly.

I imported my DAC (£120 Value) from South China, and I paid around £45/50~ in import tax and delivery charges.

Ah, I can see where you're coming from. I guess it all lies on whether you think it's worth it to spend that much on a keyboard.

I'm on the computer most of the day, so it was a very good investment for me.

Get it! Filco is the best so think of it as an investment and it'll probably be one of the best ones you'll ever make.

Oh and again, congrats on the promo. I think you deserved it.

When I had my BlackWidow before it died () I loved the Blues, they made typing enjoyable. Typing on this worn sidewinder X4 often feels like a chore...

Thanks, you know what, I'll do it tomorrow morning, I'll order it. Time to man up.

Thanks, appreciate it, as well as your kind words on the promotion.
