ASUS P8P67M-PRO POST Issues

Thread Starter
So I just built a rig with the P8P67M-PRO and Im having some severe post issues.

It will sometimes post and I can get in to the UEFI with using my HD 4650 but when I put my GTX 560 in the board will never post. But it will just display a black screen, no keyboard and mouse light up.

Any help? How can I update the UEFI?

This is starting to tick me off, why cant this stuff just work?!?!?!?!?!? sozo.gif

And also, a few times, Ive also gotten this message. Before I got this message, I was in the UEFI and the CPU voltage was at 2.03V and it was running at -2C eek.gif

Not sure about the bios recovery since I never was put in that situation but I would download the latest bios ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8P67-M_PRO/P8P67-M-PRO-ASUS-0709.zip (nice find blah238)(Try to extract with 7zip or similar, native windows zip was messing it up for some reason and it wouldn't read as UEFI bios) and put it on a thumb drive or similar storage device and see if you can run it. Leave your other card in since the 560 isnt working. You are putting it in the first slot right? I know older bios had trouble booting if the card was in the second slot.

^ I just tried exactly what toy told me to do. The problem is that the command "bupdater" is not a valid command in the Recovery console. Or freedos. Whatever the heck it is.

But I hope im making progress with it, Pulling the battery a few times has gotten it to post with the 4650 in a few times. The problem is that after a restart or shutdown it either goes in to a turning on and off cycle or gives the error that I mentioned in the first post.

Hmmm, try to reseat your chip look at the pins while your at it. Hopefully you can get into bios long enough to flash them with the latest.

Make sure when it boots back up to load optimized settings and save and quit first. After it reboots go ahead and set your boot order.
