This is a specified unlocking tool for the MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III + 6970 BIOS. I got it from a friend couldn´t get a chance to use it yet but I thought I´d share with you! http://www.mediafire.com/?t8quqp8mx8w3xuc When downloaded just open it with WinRar. But I will have to ask you guys to be descret about this one because it contains confidential information and unallowed processes MSI specifically prohibits third party users from processing on their products. It´s like that with all the unlocking tools but still just a heads up. So I hope you are glad I shared this with you, but still keep it between us 6950 owners

Just be clear... That link is NOT a 6970 BIOS at all.. its an unlocked 6950 BIOS for the TFIII GPU.. Which does NOT work to unlock these cards in my experience.

Well, it says +6970 BIOS, so I thought it may be what you were looking for. I never checked it myself as I don't have a 6950, just trying to help...

No worries man.. just wanted to make it clear for others sifting the threads. If someone does have the GPU..PLEASE - try to flash the above and see if it unlocks for you..there might be certain batches of these cards that DO unlock.

*until we know more, I would like to try to unlock the 6950 TFIII with a 6970 Lightning BIOS...but I need the lightning BIOS to be able to try it first ..*hinthint

Looks like there's a bios file in there to me too.

Nevermind it's just a CCC unlock. Not a shader unlock.

He actually already got the bios and tried it. No go. However, he did get an 1100 core speed.

Definitely set a custom fan curve in Afterburner. Also make sure you don't have your "Bios" switch set to silent mode. It's silent, but it's not cool

Grab something like Furmark and find out what's the loudest comfortable fanspeed/noise ratio under load. Then set your profile so that you're near that at average gaming temps. Hopefully it'll keep it at a decent temperature, I'm guessing mid 70's at the hottest.
