You were told right.

I agree to a large extent it is a cpu bottleneck, however, there might be more in play than just that.

I just know for a fact that I gained ~20-40fps on games like metro 2033 and crysis after I moved from my X4 955 @4.2 to a 2500k @4.7.

I just ran 3dmark11 basic version on P test and got this score...

i updated my motherboard's bios to the latest version.

I tried the latest price of persia game in eyefinity 5264X1050 on max settings and i got veeeery smooth gameplay. It used to lag as hell on my old card.

Tried buletstorm again and still got 10FPS in eyefinity max settings.

Anyone can tell me how i can make sure my card is using both cores?

This review get 60FPS in eyefinity with my card

So far i get good FPS in WOW, price of persia and Crysis 2 seems to be on Par with reviews i've seen on the internet....

3dmark11 gives me 8400~ for the P test which is lower then the 9000K ive seen in other reviews but i think they got a better CPU... yet the test at the end saying my results are comparable with the community...

FFXIV i get 10FPS.... Bulletstorm 10FPS also and in a review the guy got 60FPS with the same card as me so what am i missing here?

The review of the link you put he is running at a res of 192 x1080 not your 5264X1050! You have a res that's 3 times bigger so you'll get a way lower fps then he does :/

Whoops didn't look at the review below with the same res scratch that I'm not sure!

OK, 6990 have no crossfire tab to enable first off. Once you load the 11.4 drivers, install 11.3 cap 3 & 5 files as well as 11.4 cap 1. They are are independent of one another. Reboot and retry your tests again.

Enable the bios 1 AUSUM mode, make you set the card to 880/1375 for both GPUs and see how it works from there.

Yeah, +1 on the resolution. You'd need tri-fire or quad-fire to get those games at respectable framerates at that resolution. On Crysis series, I just game at 1080P and max out the AA/AF and game looks awesome.

1. Complaining about a 50% increase is stupid.
2. It's not a "Crossfire" tab in CCC. It's under "Gaming" and/or "Performance"
3. You definitely need to install the CAP. Not sure if you need to install each one individually though. EDIT: No, the pdf that came with the CAP says all previous versions are contained in the newest version.
4. 3dmark is saying it's comparable with users with the same core components as you. As in they also have an X6 processor. Yes, you have a CPU bottleneck. No, it will not give you worse performance than before.
5. The resolution makes a huge difference on performance. If those reviews you're looking at aren't in Eyefinity, it's a pointless comparison.
