RAID0 for gaming

For a gaming PC would I see any benefits in going RAID0 with my 2 Samsung F3 1TB drives?

You would not notice a substantial increase in gaming frame-rates as RAID 0 is intended mainly for manipulation of large sequential files at higher transfer rates. Since games typically utilize smaller files the effective speedup of read operations does not translate to a discernible performance increase while in game.

However, it may help to decrease map loading times.

I run R0 and would never go back! It has decreased load times in games substantially.

It wont give you better FPS but you wont be stuck at the load screen forever either.

just to increase load times? I wouldn't bother. The pain of reinstalling windows or cloning partitions is enough to drive me away from setting a raid 0 array if i was in your position.

That said, you might want to pick up a f3 drive anyway, just in case seagate plans to do away with their newly acquired hard drive division.

Yeah, load time is the only thing it affects. If you game a lot, use a smaller stripe size to better accommodate the smaller files utilized by games.

As stated, load time is your main benefit.
OS use will feel a bit snappier as well, but not going to be a GIGANTIC improvement.

FPS wise you don't particularly gain anything, but if you play games such as WoW where you would be constantly loading data from disk it may present a smoother gaming experience.

Was not really looking forward to increased FPS since thats where my GPU and CPU is for, I just said gaming because my rig is primarily used for gaming and sometimes movies.

Would anyone know if the P67A-UD4-B3 offer some kind of undo raid mode, say If i wanted to return back to a single drive and havent used more than 1TB total space..
