Your card isn't "that" fast - and a SB chip at 4.2Ghz isn't slow either.
I do know for sure that even at 5.3GHz in vantage I could get higher than 40k gpu simply by increasing my cpu speed, because in limited parts there is a cpu bottleneck.
Anyone who doesn't understand why a faster cpu is required to get the most from your gpu(s) is ill-informed and probably is the same type of person who resorts to name calling. However there is always "enough" and you've clearly reached it with your single card, overclock it more, or go SLI.
I've killed 2x 570's in 4 months, this is my second RMA. First one died at 920/2000 1.1v (975mv VID), second at 900/1950 1.038v (950mv VID). I was sick and tired of gaming at 800x600 on my spare card. So I'm gonna hold off on overclocking the GPU for a little bit. This will surely change once I snag Crysis 2, will need to OC this puppy.Edited by Scorpion667 - 5/6/11 at 11:39pm
