Use Gparted boot disk
Partition disk to 2 paritions (however big you want them)
Install XP first on one partition
Install Windows 7 after that.
Boot 7, see XP has been added (if not can be added easily with http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1)

???

profit.

Anyways it can work the other way around too. Just use the same program to install 7's boot record (vista bootloader) and add 7 and XP to it. If not you can also restore 7's bootloader via CLI from the install CD then use easyBCD to add XP to the boot loader.

umm no lol
this is what happens when i boot:
motherboard screen comes on (I wait)
next another screen comes on and i press F1 in order to continue
then windows xp boots up....

NORMALLY whenever i pressed F1 windows 7 booted up when xp was not installed.
everything worked fine until i installed xp and now i cant do anything..

WHAT HAPPENS IF I JUST INSTALL MY WINDOWS ALL OVER AGAIN ON MY HDD? WILL IT ALSO DELETE EVERYTHING EVEN THE PARTITIONS?

because i dont care anymore i just want to delete everything on m hdd, and start over....

i believe what hes saying is try it again rawrjaay the whole process but honestly its this looks 7 is gone and what you really should is either upgrade or reformat BUTwhat you should do is is ditch the 32bit and go for the 64 bit version you can use the full 4gb of ram and sorry if i sound like im beat a dead horse but i dont really see the point in having 4gb of ram and not using all of it cause your using a 32 bit operating system

actually i was going to install a fresh copy of ultimate 64 bit
that was what i was going to do.

but, when i boot from my windows 7 cd, and install it,
will it automatically delete all the partitions so that i have a normal hdd and just one partition which would be the 64bit windows 7?

if you reinstall without formating what will happen is windows will save all the files and put them in a folder called windows.old so you can access them but not really use them

refer to what i typed above. you need to fully reformat the old os to lose every like said what will happen is the all the system files are delted bu not programs and other junk they get move to windows .old file its better to just format cause things get messed up and confused when you install the same program but its all in the windows.old file so if there isnt anything important just totally format the hdd

what you want to do is when you install windows it will ask you where you want to install there a few options there depending how many partitions you have you can format them create a new partition or delete them. what i would do is format both of them and install the 64 bit version on one of them then use the other partition for saving junk on or make it a recovery drive.
