Why does this matter unless your are doing some serious benchmarking where even a single point matters. There is no real world difference atall.

i just came from a 955 @ 3.8. with this 2500k at stock clocks ( lets not even talk about it at 4.5ghz, which was easy as cake to do), the 2500k stomps the 955. Everything feels faster and the one game i play (aa 3) increased by atleast 25fps in certain maps. This cpu is not only fast now but it should still be fast for atleast 2 years before you start running into cpu limitations in games. get the 2500k and dont think twice about it.

lol intel fanbois afraid of BD.
People seem to forget that competition is a good thing, you think intel will be pushing out amazing processors as fast as they are right now if amd just gave up making processors? probably not. It also helps keep prices down.
People who think that only one company is the way to go are ignorant, go for the one that fits your needs and your budget even if it is a different brand.

I fully understand the benefits of having an amd chip compete with intels greatest, But when it comes to a "current" amd vs intel cpu war the best buy right now is intel bang for buck. I am affraid of nothing amd has to offer as i will buy what ever suites me best whoever produces the goods, intel or amd, ati or nvidia i own gear from all of them.
