24" + 30" + 24" monitor setup? - Page 2

Since you do cad/animation, don't even hesitate to buy a U3011. You will fall in love with it the very second you open up Maya on it. Saying that it makes your work easier is an understatement. I really can't stress this fact enough, lol

On your desktop, yes you will be able to use that mix of screens just fine, don't worry about it.

In games, sure you can run the U3011 @ 1920x1200 (it still looks acceptable), but the size difference will make the side monitors feel awkward. If you'd want to make eyefinity usable you'd need to buy two more 30" LCDs. They don't necessarily have to be U3011's as well (though that would be ideal); they could be 3007WFP's for example, which you can find for a lot cheaper.

No. It's only 1920x1080, and a TN panel. Piece of junk.

hmm i dont think i could afford 3x u3011 - it would annoy me not being able to use a monitor at its full potential

but maybe 3x u2711 i shall just have to up my hourly rate on 3D work

Yup, and then you can buy another one of your GPUs to power them!

I would highly recommend UltraMon.

You can set different wallpaper to each monitor, extended the taskbar across all monitors and much more.
