Adding video card to loop?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
Right now I have a single loop with an XSPC dual rad / waterblock / pump @ 750L/H/ res. Currently, my i7-2600k is overclocked to 5.05GHz and it only idles at 25C. Would it be possible to add my GTX 580 to the loop as well without overheating the entire loop?

Thanks,
Nick

From what I have read, you can probably get away with it but I would add a larger radiator. Either swap out for a 360 or add a 120. What are you using to get the temps? Overclocked to 5.5 and idling at 25 seems extremely low. my 950 is only overclocked to 3.7 and idles at 40.

By add a 120, do you mean in series in the same loop? As well i dont think a 360 will fit in the NZXT Phantom. I had to play around just to get the 240 in.

Add it in the same loop.

I think you will be fine, but I would add another 120mm radiator. Just remember that all of your radiators have to be either intake or exhaust or you will have a lot of inefficiency.

I didnt know that. I was thinking of adding my gpu to my loop and also adding another 120 in the back of my case. I have my 360 up top with fans pushing air out and I wanted to have the 120 pulling air in. That wouldnt be ok?

You would be able to get away with the 240, but I would add in another 120mm radiator. And as charliehorse said, they are intake or exhaust.

Intake is when the fans are pulling in cool air. Exhaust is when the fans are pushing warm air out.

i know that but would it be normal? everyone will put the fan either intake or exhaust for the rad right? or am I missing something?
