Windows 7 Randomly freezing up need help.

Thus far I've been unable to resolve this problem.

It happens at randoms intervals. Mostly when I try to check for Windows updates, closing web pages, loading up certain games. I can't really see a pattern here but I have a feeling it happens when information are loaded from my SSD.

I finished building my new computer and I started having issues after re installing Windows on my new configuration (signature spec should be accurate).

I even tried reformatting the drive to re install windows again because I believed the problem was a corrupted windows at first but the problem persist which leads me to believe it has to do with one of my hardware components.

The computer just freezes permanently, no BSOD or error message and remains frozen until I reboot.

I checked my temperature with RealTemp and it never goes past 50C (the system is not overclocked yet).

I'm running with the latest bios and latest drivers for everything. Downloaded directly from the manufacturers website. I have most of the updates available from Windows Update downloaded and installed already.

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey,
Have to tried hardware tests?
Seatools for HDD- http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/sup...loads/seatools
Memtest86 for RAM - http://www.memtest86.com/ (Run 5-8 passes,usually fails in between 5th to 8th if theres a problem.)

Also,is any of it overclocked? IF it is try using default settings after checking the above.

And I'd also check the event viewer for errors.

I ran a Prime95 blend test for several hours without any issues. I'll try this seatool test.

I finished installing several additional windows update and the problem seems to be gone. Fingers are crossed XD!

Problem appeared again but this time I've been able to pin point the source. The screen freezing up is caused by my GPU however I'm unable to determine the cause.

This showed up in CPU-Z

Try GPU-Z : http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1978/mirrors.php
See if it shows the same results.
Are your drivers up to date?
