so i finally got all my parts ready now, im not a build expert but not really a noob, just intermediate skillz

kinda too lazy to start the build

1) do i start with the case and psu first?
2) the cpu i got is from NCIX.com malaysia batch number L101B056

good or bad?

thanks for any advice on getting to 5hgz using 1.45v or less

i was told this chip and hybrid cooler peaks out at 4.6-4.8ghz?

No way to really know about the batch number. Its all chance.

Yes start with case and PSU first.

There is a little arrow/triangle on the cpu and there is one on the retention bracket. Just match them up and then close the lid.

OMG I HOPE YOUR JUST KIDDING. you need to see if theres anyone here that is close to you that can come over and help you.

When you're absolutely clueless about something, good place to start would be reading the manual for CPU as well as the motherboard, it's all explained there, with images on that.

Make sure you know what are you doing so you don't bend the pins, once you do that it's game over.

there's an HDA black small connector from the puter case, where do i attach it to the motherboard?

this msi mobo instruction manual/diagram is not very good compared to the asus ones

here's my progress so far:

let's hope i 'seated' the CPU and cooler correctly, im not sure if its a good full contact

also this motherboard doesn'y have the sata HD ports facing UP when looking at this picture, its facing to the right(towards the hd bays) , very hard to access!

and i don't think it has external Esata either

Congrats on your new system. Build it and let us know how you fair with that chip.

Got mine yesterday and am running Blend now at 4.8GHz using 1.46v V-core in bios in combination with a CM Hyper 212+. Am almost 5 hours into the Blend test now.

I didn't get a very good chip, but still.. 4.8GHz stable with a CM Hyper 212+ is good in my opinion.
