AMD challenge

Thread Starter
I want to issue a challenge for all AMD'ers. There will be no prizes. Just a friendly competition about seeing how structurally sound our processors are from a binning standpoint. Oh, and of course, glory and respect is involved as always. It's for some research I'm doing for class on processor production, binning, etc.

The task? Well I want all hex, quad, and dual cores to establish a clock speed of 3ghz and I want to see the lowest vcore possible on a 20 minute prime95 blend test.

I'm graphing all this out on my side of the internet, and all c2's and c3's and e0's are invited.

I'll send the person with the best results some Twinkies! Second place gets Cookies!

*edit* for those who wish to push the absolute boundaries go ahead. The prizes still stand for those who wish to disable or enable cores. However my research is levied on native cores. I just ask if you plan on submitting with disabled cores to please submit a natively cored screenshot as well for the sake of my work.

Cliff notes:
Since I have Twinkies and a Box of TBA Cookies for the top 2 guys you can disable all you want to aim for the goodies. You'll need to submit a natively cored result as well for the other entry to stand.

Also when people post their data if they could do it in a friendly fashion for myself.

Something like:

CPU -
CPU Revision - C2/C3/E0/etc.
CPU Voltage -
CPU Cores Active -

I wanted even numbers and the I figured the data pool for x3's would be very small to even be conclusive. You can either attempt an unlock or disable a core. For the sake of my work I prefer you to disable a core as the unlocked core has a possibility of being eternally flawed. I'd rather have cores that have passed internal AMD inspections as being retail worthy.

I'm doing the CC otherwise I would. I have a 965 C3 that can do this http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1780699 but no time for prime testing when there is folding to be done

Well I do have roughly 4 more weeks to conclude this. I've already done all my basic stuff. I just need some hard data now. So feel free to contribute whenever you want if you become free within that time.

ok then. thats a sad view of it though. not all x3's had defective cores. quite a few run up to 3.6 unlocked. and i do a max of 3.4 unlocked.
and the part of,

is purely wrong. the x3's were sold as completely passing amd inspections as retail worthy.
but i almost understand your wanting to keep it on even numbers. it's just slighting the x3's that i dont fully agree with.
good luck in your research

Feel free to post your results. The main deciding factor for x3's was just the potentially scattered and sparse test results. If I get enough I can always include them.

A 3ghz overclock from the original clock? or just 3ghz period?

like forsay my 955 is rated at 3.2ghz and should I push it to 6.2ghz? thats a 3ghz overclock_

3ghz only. So you would have to downclock by 200mhz.

Also when people post their data if they could do it in a friendly fashion for myself.

Something like:

CPU -
CPU Revision - C2/C3/E0/etc.
CPU Voltage -
CPU Cores Active -
