Neat! Don't you have a 980X sitting around to pop in the OC?

I would really have to get some better IC's to push into the +245 range.. I was running 240bclk for daily use, but lowered to run higher QPI and cas7 wink.gif The NB just wouldnt run 4.3ghz and cas7 mem.. frown.gif

*As for pushing PCI-E.. please keep in mind, I am pushing on a daily user right now..not a bench rig. These are full bloat OS and drivers..I have done all the basics like shutdown all other programs etc, and disable explorer for the bench runs of course... but I am positive there are much more improvements to make in a benching aspect. I plan on doing this soon... new mobo just arrived. rolleyes.gif

sounds like you need an H55M-UD2H tongue.gif

what board did you get?

All of the SS's in this thread so far, have been from testing with my Asus MIII Gene and i5 660.. but latency is just the pits if your not frozen frown.gif

I will now be testing with X58A-OC and i7 930 thumb.gif Just tuning it up now..found stable settings for: 4.68ghz with HT on, 3.9ghzQPI and 3.78ghz NB.. looking for stability with QPI:NB @ 1:1 .. with 220bclk and 22x multi for CPU <- Once I get there I can have some fun.

Wow! This is an awesome thread, did you ever make the 1.1GHz bench, or what was your max stable OC?

Max OC for benching so far is 1080mhz core and 1410mhz memory. I have been too busy to complete testing on the Freq. Switching mod, and GPUv mod [which I am certain I will need to push over 1.1ghz..if possible]. Temps are still below 47c on load.. and my pots are all mounted to other GPU's at the moment..so I'm not freezing this GPU just yet. wink.gif

Nice, I'm thinking I should sell this 750W and buy an HX/AX 850, at your best guess, would you say I will have problems with 12v rail droop at 950MHz+ on both cards? If so then I guess I will just stay at 950MHz (One of my cards is in on the RMA so I can't test on both now).

I think you should be fine, considering the HX have higher amperage rating/output than the TX, as I was using initially. The HX850 should be able to tolerate 2x of these with a high OC, worry free.

*my TX650 is also powering :

3x HDD's
2x cathodes
4x 120mm fans
1x MCP355 pump
1x DVD-RW

..If had to guess, I would say that is eating up around another 70-80W of available power.. not sure what your running off your PSU for daily use..

I just have my Laing D4, an SSD, a Caviar Black, and three .3 amp fans. I'm gonna give this 750w a go first, and if it fails to perform, it will have to yield for the 850.
