Good first build?

Thread Starter
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=16060025

This is my first build and I've been trying to build it as cheap as possible. The graphics card and power supply is what I've been having the hardest time with. I'm going to be using Linux and most of the games I play are Minecraft so I've tried to keep it as low as possible and I think I could go lower but I'll see what you guys think. I'm thinking that the power supply is too much but I'm not sure. The Newegg Power Supply Meter told me, without my graphics card (it wasn't listed) it would be around 340 watts. My current one is 600 watts.
I'm going to be using this computer for mainly virtual machines and programming as well as general web browsing.
So any helped would be nice!

Get the 955 from here: http://www.overclock.net/online-deal...nom-ii-x4.html, save $20
This RAM is better for a slightly lower price
Save $10 on the hard drive by getting it

Amazon also offers w/free shipping so there's another $10 saved

Use the money saved on a better PSU and graphics card

The akimbo 9800gt is a good budget card.

I cannot vouch for nvidia vs amd drivers in linux though.
