now im being told mix things. some ppl say c300 some say ocz. I am more of an ocz fan but the c300 is cheaper. Would i notice a diff between the vertex 3 and 300?

edit: every benchie I see puts c300 below vertex 3.

Most likely in the Sequential Read/write catagory.

Although Sequential Read is important when it comes to Starting up your OS, the difference between drives will most likely be negligable, apart from benches, supposeable they launch windows in approx. 2 secs...

The Random Read is what makes daily operation faster, as its your SSD searching for small files in your OS as your using it, and thats where the C300 excels.

I have the Vertex 2 which is a lot cheaper and I think its great. They are so fast I really don't think you are going to see the difference. Yes the benches show the c300 and vertex 3 as much faster but in daily use and even in games you are are going to see little difference. I do see the difference going from hdd to ssd but I don't think you are going to see a difference between the two ssd's for daily use.

I am so glad I found this. I was also thinking.. a pair of c300 in raid0? I just upped from a 920 to a 980 and my current drives can't seem to keep up. I have a notion i haven't harnessed the real speed of the 980 yet.

yea but i have a sandy bridge and its making me want to take advantage of the faster speeds of the sata 6gbs drive speeds. I am leaning towards a c300 because of price and im hearing that it excels in random speeds

yes, get the C300 128GB, it is the best value for an SSD.

i got two of em, one in Esata enclousure for my Sager laptop, and even in Esata it loads my games very quick, Fallout NV being the best example as loading times are only like 5 seconds compared to the 15-20 secs with a 7200rpm Hdd.

my other C300 is in my desktop internally.
