Differences in same game across android/iOS platform???

Thread Starter
i was reading around, prepping myself for a move to an android device. i was reading a little about rooting and what else it gets you.

thing is, even the most popular games on the iphone like the angry bird series, is legitimately FREE on the android market. why is that? does the iphone version give you more? are all android games smothered in annoying ads?

My brother has Angry Birds for his Droid X, but it has annoying ads that pop up every several seconds, just too distracting to me. - I'd rather pay $1 for ad free games

A lot of android games go with the ad based model. They usually have a non ad based paid version as well.

However, a rooted phone can block ads.

you can get rid of all ads with a specific app and root
