At this rate, I'll take it to a pc repair place to see if they can figure out whats wrong. If that doesnt work, refunding for all of this is the next option. x.x

Thanks anyway.

So what does it mean if the LED_D2 on the motherboard blinks when the power button is pressed? The manual says vga error. The graphics card I have installed seems fine, the fan tries to spin when I press the power button. There aren't any power indicator lights on but that LED_D2 flashes and the fans LEDs light up and 4 of the 5 fans spin( one is the cpu fan)
Computer still doesn't turn on. I've reseated the gpu and still get this error. I figured i'd get a little info before thinking of spending more money to get this computer working at a pc repair shop.

The computer just doesnt want to start lol, the lights will flick as the power button is pressed and fans try to start but as for turning on, its a no go.

The last thing I can think of is the motherboard is having problems. Everything else seems fine as you described.

This is the problem with internet and trying to help somebody you can't get a birds eye view of whats going on.

EDIT: I have figured out exactly what's wrong you're putting a PCI Express 2.1 x16 Video card in a PCI Express 2.0 x16 Slot. This is what happens when you don't read your motherboards details.

So you need a new video card, a PCI Express 2.0 x16 Card.

I'm surprised none of you other members had spotted this error.
This isn't a motherboard issue, I would have expected xd_1771 to notice.

This isn't the issue. PCI-E 2.1 is directly backwards compatible with 2.0 and should work.

Seriously? Oh damn my bad but both motherboard slots are PCI-E 2.0 and not 2.1 Which I don't remember 2.0 being backwards compilable to a 2.1 video card?

Sounds more likely if the motherboard PCI-E Slot was 2.1 but It's 2.0 or am I confused here?

Because if i remember correctly PCI-E 2.0 Slots are only compatible on some motherboards with PCI-E v1.x cards.

I also remember this being motherboard and card specific for a 2.1 to 2.0 slot
I mean, I could be wrong you are way more experienced then me but help me to understand this?

also i have just read this, not sure if it will help at all or not, as only skimmed through the thread...

It is recommended to install memory module on the red DDR3 DIMM slot (DDR3_A2 or DDR3_B2) to boot the system.

hope it helps

This has been done, trust me. Lol. Dual channelled before, and tried using one stick in each red slot. I don't think its a RAM problem, I remember seeing in bios( that rare moment) all 8gigs but that was all, and the date.

As for the card, it has worked from sheer luck I suppose before but why might it be acting up now, no idea. It has booted to BIOS the first time I was able to get it on, the issue then was that the power button needed to be pressed 10x times+ till it decided it wanted to start up. So it does work, but thats my guess. I guess my only option is to really just take the option of newegg rma, however long newegg uses to rma stuff which is like 1-2weeks+, and it only has a 30 day warranty for rma'ing. (Lolz) I just don't want to rma it then be back here in 2 weeks with the same issues, thats what might stress me out.
