A simple build. - Page 3

Well, I have been making progress.Trying to get all the issues solved without having to keep asking for info. The ram isnt defective as it seemed. The whole system was able to boot and , surprisingly, the hdd was detected this time and I was able to install an OS. The computer recognized all 8gigs of ram, the hdd, the graphics card and everything else in device manager and BIOS. Everything seems fine but the only issue I have is that the computer still has issues turning on with one click of the power button. This is leading me to think that the psu is the issue. This has been a stressful first build computer, so as soon as I am able to fix the power up issue, i'll finally be successful of building a computer Lol. Thanks for the info but yeah...

Issue : The computer LED_D2 blinks twice and LED_D1 is off(Maybe? Or LED_D2's flashing is making it seem like its flashing but low) when power is pressed. The case fans(3 LED and 1 regular) spin for a split second, the cpu also spins along with the graphics fan. The power indicator phase lights do not turn on unless the pc is actually on and running. The psu fan doesnt turn on until the pc is fully turned on also. I constantly have to press the power button like every second, 30+ times quickly (so it seems, could be more) until the system kicks on and boots up. Its like a lawn mower, it doesn't turn on with one click and has to be constantly revved many times. Any ideas what is causing this? If its the psu, that would be much more relieving than the mobo tbh. Everything is still under neweggs replacement/refund warranty but I would rather fix this problem without having the replacement warranty expire without fixing the issue.

Any solutions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone figured this out yet and helped this guy? Maybe you can do a video so we can SEE what is actually happening as it boots up too

LOL, I know right? Of the 6k people who may sign on, only 30 are here in this section I think and may/may not be able to help at all. But ahh well, any help is better than none. I recorded a vid to get a good look of what im seeing. Everything is fine when it actually boots (Rare chance when it does boot) but if the computer is turned off then im back to hitting the power button 30+ times for it to decide to come back on,small issue cause of course sleep/hibernation mode would be fine and it not like I plan to move this desktop around much. Not much of a big big issue, just dont want to have to do that if theres a power outage or something.

You probably have the LEDs inserted the wrong way (i.e. + is -, - is +) in the slots. That's what usually happens when I don't get any light. Same goes with the power button wires - make sure it is in there tight.

Hmm, I'll recheck the wires again when I get back. So the reverse plug-ins can stop a computer from turning on like this? Im going to laugh my butt off if this is fixed by just reversing the wires.. btw, the computer case has 2 power buttons that connect both case connectors to like a adapter that connects as one single Power LED(on/off) connector, that isnt a problem is it? o: And how many Phase LED should actually be on when the comp turns on?

The phase lights only turn on when the motherboard is on. D: Whats with that? Is it supposed to be that way or am I paranoid?
Atleast I can say the rig runs, just has problems turning on. Thats a win for a first build? /accomplished face(kinda Lol)

I wonder if my PSU is giving the computer enough power tbh. Revving it up like that sucks. e.e I should have just went with Corsair to eliminate most doubts of psu problems. My psu might be faulty maybe? Thanks for the info so far and putting up with me and my errors. Lol
