I am constantly getting kicked off XBL/PSN. I have messed around with the settings but I have no idea how to fix it.

Even when I am the only thing on it does it. Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is to try opening the ports on you'r router that XBL use's.

I did the port forwarding for open nat. Is that the same?

Yeah it's the same thing. If you'r using it on Wi-Fi then could try it on ethernet, to eliminate any intermittant interfearance there might be.

I'm upstairs and the router is downstairs.

I might just get a new dd-wrt or tomato capable router and see if its better.

Something else you could try is powerline networking. If you don't want to shell out for it then you could try and see if some one would lend you a couple to test it out.

I had thought of that but decided against. I might just RMA my router and see what happens.

If you do decide on a new router then the Belkin F5D7633-4 isnt to bad. I've got one, its a little old tho so the auto update doesnt work. There was a custom firmware for it when I looked this time last year I'm not sure if its still around tho.

I'll check it out after I call them and RMA it, and see what's up.

Thanks for the suggestions.
