You paid double what most people ought to pay for that card. that's why it was a bad decision.

I got it cheaper than it was no Newegg, thankfully. It ended up costing around $116 with decent shipping on Amazon.
Sadly, that card sells for like 80 bucks at Best Buy.

I've even seen it go on sale for 40 dollars. Anyway..you should see the largest jump in quality in game positioning cues, rather than music.

I've seen a few HT Omega Claro +'s going for $100 on eBay.

Think it might be my next move.

No it's not, you're just saying that because you believe that sound cards are a gimmick and only carry a placebo effect, and you'll say onboard audio on an asus mobo is the same as a soundcard or nearly no difference, but you never back up your claims. Sorry, but I'm not going to let your biased opinions bring down my excitement for a sound card.

I watched and read many reviews, even read Simca's guide, I've even personally asked Simca. The Asus Xonar DX is nice and all, but from reviews I've seen the Titanium is better in all aspects as well as gaming, and is better for the slight price jump. Plus, the Asus Xonar DX does NOT scale well with Bad Company 2, and that's definitely a HUGE con for me, since that's a game I really want to experience with a nice sound card.

Also, the Titanium has xram which even though I have a nice system, will alleviate and give me some added performance.

Overall, all that matters is I enjoy the product and it delivers what I expect. I think it'll go nice with my 280s and z-5500s.

Thank you.
that's not correct. Nothing scales better with bc2 because its 16bit and the sound is getting mixed by the gaming engines Codecs with the cpu then its send to the soundcard just for the conversion to analog. Because its 16bit the maximum snr ratio than can be achieved is 96. Even a flimsy onboard is rated 98. So there's no hardware acceleration taking place nothing. Everything is being done by the game engine.
