Definatly Amnesia-dark descent. i only played the demo and it freaked me out that much i just know i would never complete it lol

Plus you know most girls don't get scared of games, they just laugh at men playing them

Since everyone has already said Amnesia (which I was going to suggest), I'll just go ahead and say Dead Space 1&2

Half-life 2. Only game I ever was "creeped out", because of the head crabs.

So Amnesia is stupid for doing it's job and scaring the crap out of you?

Penumbra series and Amnesia are the scariest games i've played, and i've played a ton of games. (Penumbra is the same as Amnesia, just much older and made by the same company). I still wouldn't recommend playing either if you aren't alone and in the dark... the entire game will lose alot of impact if you play it with your girlfriend in the room. It's kind of a solo or nothing game.

Play it at 12 at night, with the sound cranked up, while home alone and all the lights in the house off. Otherwise, you just won't get the full affect... and that's why many people don't like the game because they don't immerse themself into it corectly.

Dead Space 2 I crapped my pants.
Amnesia is the only game were I have found myself frantically turning everytime i hear a noise or something in my peripheral vision. The way the events unfold really freak you out. It keeps you on your toes throughout, the atmosphere is amazing, tense and creepy. wearing headphones while playing is a great experience, aswell as playing in the dark. truly a great game.

I can only play it in 20 minute bursts, and its the only game that will actually scare me.

It's old, so it should be cheap, and I can't believe nobody's mentioned it yet; Aliens vs Predator, playing as the marine. I dare you not to freak out when a facehugger fills your screen.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about the 1999 release. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliens_...r_(video_game)
