A 570 uses more power than a 6970.. though not by much, so 2x 6970 and 570 should have similar figures.
*snip*

Anyways I agree, HX850 or similar is good.
Okay sorry to argue or start a fanboy debate.

I agree that a 850 watt is best.

From the wall with the TX 850 it drew out 1100 watts! is it ok?

That must be wrong, did you reset the Watt meter before using it? If it showed 1100W the PSU would have shut off.

Yes it's correct. and no it didn't shut off. i'm sure there is some overhead but jesus 1100 watts?!!?? man i thought 850 would be ok. btw this is with all over clock on.

The wattage measured at the wall is sometimes deceiving because the psu can regulate the amperage or something like that, I heard Phaedrus talked about this but don't know the name for it.

Draw from the wall =/= power output from the PSU.

Let's say its pulling 120W from the wall and the PSU is 75% efficient, then output = 90W.

TX750 will likely run your pc but if you stress your hardware 24/7 then it will die sooner.
