I had this same problem for months. My game would crash any time I tried to load a game or start a new game. It would get to the loading screen and crash. My problem was related to programs ASUS had bundled with their graphics card driver disc. Smart Doctor and another 1 I currently forget the name of. I didn't have the programs running but it seems just having them on my HDD caused the problem. As soon as I deleted these programs I haven't had any problems. So, my next question is do you have an ASUS card with any ASUS programs on your HDD like Smart Doctor? I had also read that having X-fire running would cause crashes.Just saw you indeed have an ASUS card. Sec and I'll give you a link to my post bout this on the FNV bug forums. here you go:http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1176201-i-fixed-my-game-crashes/

Try disabling and seeing if the game runs.

You probably don't need to reinstall (unless you uninstalled of course..), it should work just by disabling the Asus conflict program.

Okay, thanks biggrin.gif

I actually never had the program running. Just having it on my HDD was causing the problem. As soon as I deleted Smart Doctor and Gamer OSD and restarted my PC I could play Fallout New Vegas with no problems.
