I guess perhaps thats what I should ask instead, why would anyone buy a Realforce over a Leopold or any other similar style?

What makes it so special if other boards seem to either match the specs, it can't just be the Topre switches?

Forgive my ignorance, it could just be brand name you pay for, but I would feel better asking if I could get the same board cheaper.

@Others, as far as the switches go, I read a user at the Geek forums review his HHKB and said the feel was worse than the Topre switches, yet they were supposed to be identical. He goes on to state that its probably the build of the keyboard and its frame as its lighter, and designed for mobility, where the Realforce

I put my the switches in an order of what I think I would like in a Keyboard, but most of that is based off other peoples opinions and specifications of the switches themselves. For instance, from they way Cherry Blues are described would drive me nuts for speed typing, gaming. Cherry Browns sound very well rounded, and maybe even Blacks would be good for me as I am not used to any other switches and could quickly get into the full depressing of the keys. I essentially do that now with rubber domes.
Higher build quality then the Leopolds and Filco. Not sure you if you can say it's much higher then the Deck's though.

Most of the price difference is the Topre "switches" which are only available on a few models of keyboards, namely the HHKB and the realforce.

Going for either a ten-keyless or compact mini like HHKB, I also don't want black lit anymore (I have it now on the Marauder.)

Its still a beautiful board though.

So, one could imply that the price is high, because they have no competition so to speak?

How about our Ducky's? I am very interested in the new shipment coming in, and want to see what they have available anyways before I make my decisions.

I don't see the advantages of the Ducky. I'm sure I'll get banned after this post...
