my 2600k when i was playing at 4.5 ghz at 1.3 v on just an upgraded coolermaster heatsink loading at 53c idling at 27

Stay under 80's for 24/7 use. Thats hot as hell for a 32nm imo even tho thermal is what 98?

I would say its stable. Alot of times, stability is relative to what you use your computer for. If you play games for a few hours a day, stability will come much easier than if your folding 24/7 or folding for several hours a day.

Why does everyone keep comparing 32nm power to 45nm power. I mean Intel said themselves that max voltage you should not surpass is 1.52 volts. Now I agree that is pretty high and since that's max voltage you probably should stay a little lower than it. But if Intel says 1.52volts then that means you should be able to push nearly 1.52 volts and the cpu will be ok. Again though yea it is 32nm and I also understand that there is less leakage and the transistors are closer together and smaller so a "higher voltage" could damage internals. I know this stuff at a pretty technical level since I am actually an electrical engineer and also am a mechanical engineer. Yes unease in college forever. But guys don't you think that just maybe its a newer processor or newer technology so the internals are made better or more durable to handle higher voltage. This is not far fetched at all and actually is probably why it can push more voltage than 45 Nm. Plus power efficiency is better and way more consistent in sandy bridge so there is less fluctuation in current. With a more steady current internals probably last longer and are also more durable from that. Also sandy has much better power gating too which prob has some to do with it too. I run my 2600k at 1.436 volts 24/7 at 4.8ghz with hyper threading enabled. With ht off then I can lower voltage to 1.385 at same clock. My cpu never exceeds 56 celsius and the hottest core never exceeds 70 c. Amd fx 8150 runs at higher voltage too then its 45nm counter parts.

hi guys,

i'm now on 4,9ghz and seems stable. intel burn test with high-setting show me that test was going fine. max temp was 91C but almost around 85C. i want rich 5ghz but with same temp.

here my UEFI setting

49x multi
100.0 mhz blck
vcore offset mode +0,065c(max 1.42)
LLC 3
PLL 1.709
VTT 1.818
Just C1E enable (c6,c2,c4 disable)
RAM 1.590 v(stock 1.5v) timing and mhz stock
HTT enable
i hope was clear.

thank for help

Very nice OC! I'm hoping you'll be able to reach 5ghz below 1.5 for safer setup. Congrats !!

In addition to 1.52v as a highest safe voltage, they also mentioned the memory voltage not to exceed 1.5v when you want to set the CPU vcore to 1.5v+~ or else you will going to fry your IMC.

sorry for double posting

yeah.. sorry for mistake
vtt is 1.181 no 1.818

suggestion for reach 5ghz?

and about cpu thermal throtting, package c state support intel virtualization, what are doing? intel speedstep what does mean? have to be disable or enable?
