Crosshair IV without a second look. Better VRM's, feature-packed BIOS, so it's an overclockers dream. One of the best AM3 boards you can buy. Unfortunately, with great power, comes a higher price tag

Of course a crosshair IV...

890FXA-GD70 has quite poor phase design, and you may ruin it if you install and overclock w/high TDP (such as your current 1055T).

You could try the Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5. It's comparable to the crosshair iv in terms of overclockability and its cheaper, but it's not nearly as pretty.
Also as the others said, don't go for the GD70 unless you like your VRMs extra crispy, possibly burnt.

I'd wait since motherboards manufacturers are releasing 9 series boards. It will support your current CPU and the upcoming 32nm Bulldozer. That way you won't be stuck with the older gen technology.

If you're absolutely buying now, the Asus and don't turn back. The GD70 is not good at all with such a high TDP CPU as your x6.

This is what I would do.

However, if you just have to buy now go with the Crosshair IV Formula. The other members on here have done a great job stating why.

Thanks for the input. Was gonna go with the Asus, the prices are dropping but with the new boards coming sounds like a better plan. Than latter I can retire my 1055t back into my current mobo and know I still have a good solid rig.
(Than I can push 4G on my little leaguer and just see how tough ASUS is!!!!)
