Ive got a lenovo Y560. More than a decent gaming notebook. And is nicely priced too. And I love it.

I found an i5 y560 on NICX for around CAD840. Im sure if you look around in stores or shop for it online, it should fit in you budget with coupons etc. Lenovo's always got coupons.

Heres a review

Edit:

Found the y560 i5 on Newegg Canada for around CAD 800.

If you absolutely cannot go over your budget, there's this:

lenovo IdeaPad Z565

Heres a review of the Z565, but this one has a different VGA
