i would recommend the asrock p 67 extreme 4

The only motherboard in its class that still maintain 5 eggs overall and a 89% satisfaction (4-5eggs) after so much review since it came out.

Not to bash on asus or anything and before u asus fanboy jumping on me, i still recommend the sabertooth and the deluxe since those seem to have the least problem from the p8p67 asus `s line, or an gigabyte board.
Isn't Asrock just Asus' "value" rebranding?

Also I'm pretty sure tests show very little difference between x16 and x8.

Ive owned 3 PCs with Asus Mobos. All great overclockers, no problems with any of them. Well, except that the first I had, which was a really low end mobo, died after 5 years. But I really dont think you can blame Asus for that.
But really, just get whichever one (between Asus and Gigabyte) is cheaper or better looking. theyre both good.
And yes, Asrock is owned by Asus and was originally their OEM components brand.
