Are modular cables swappable? Tagan BZII-680

Thread Starter
I'm new to this forum and first of all, I'd like to say hello to everybody
I currently consider buying Tagan BZII-680 psu, as my Chieftec gps-500 is simply limiting my further upgrades. I can get it for as cheap as about 45$ (130PLN) and as far as I can tell, that Tagan got pretty good reviews. The problem is, it isn't bundled with cables (used) and this leads me to the question:
Can cables from other psu (let's say, Corsair hx620/hx650 ) can be used in it with no worry about anything getting fried?
Excuse me for my English and TIA.

Hey,

Your english is fine and no, I doubt you'll be able to use corsair cables with a Tagen PSU.

Whilst, yes, modular is nice, if your budget doesn't cover it then i'd always go with a high quality, non modular PSU for stability and safty.

Thanks for a quick reply, I guess I need original, bundled cables and there is no way, other may work? What about Tagan U15 series cables, would they work? I also thought about getting Stealthxstream 2 700w (80~$? about 240PLN)- is it a good choice? I heard some complaints on the manufacturer of this psu, but I'm rather a noob in PSUs.
And what about my current PSU? Am I fine running my overclocked b55 @ 3.8-4.0 Ghz and also my card @ 1ghz core and 1200 memory? It says 360w max load on 12v rails, here's the link for this psu (I heard that Delta Electronics is the manufacturer for this one):

well i'm not the best but i'll help you as much as I can, I assume you want to move to a modular PSU or just a new PSU.

I want to get a decent psu as cheap as possible. I need a psu which can handle 6850 crossfired and phenom b55 oc'ed @ 3.8 or higher. Modular is nice to have, but I understand it's more expensive. Something close to 80$ is as much as I would like to go. Antecs are rather overpriced here, in Europe, but I'll check the price once I get some recommendations Thanks for trying to help.

so, $80... what country are you in? I'm in the UK, so if you give me either euro's or something it would make it easier for me.

I'm thinking a corsair TX650v2 would be pretty nice for you

I live in Poland, in euros it would be~ 60. 650 (v2) goes for at least 75 euros here, in Poland. Eh.

OK well

If you can't afford that then check out the CX600, that should be enough for your GPU and crossfire 6850's, but the tx650v2 would be a nicer choice imo and well worth teh extra $$$

I don't know the prices in Poland but a Truepower New 650W would be a good choice, excellent PSU and it's partially modular (the PCI-E ones and possibly some SATA/Molex but I'm not sure.
