The TP new is about 130 euro's. So a lot higher than what he can afford.

Wouldn't crossfired 6850 push that cx500 to the limit? CX600 can be found 50~ euros- i guess it would be a decent choice for that system?

Yeah the 500 might be a little stressed, but the 600 (I did change it) will be fine.

What about OCZ Modxstream 600w?
I've also seen used True Power New 650w on allegro.pl (similliar to ebay.com), is it worth bidding it for ~ 80$? It's on 12month warranty.

TBH, the PSU is the only thing I wouldn't consider buying second hand.
Nothing wrong with buying a second-hand power supply.

This is the reason I can't sell anything nice, none of y'all want to pay me more than $10 for my samples.

That's cause you rip them apart and put them back together Big P. lol

I never said there was anything wrong with it, I just said that it's not something i'd consider. You don't know who's had it etc.

It's a personal preference, nothing more.

Comps

P.S incidently, this is the first time you've not ripped apart my advice saying i'm over spec'ing :-p yay

So there is really nothing to worry about with buying used Antec TPN 650W? It's still on warranty, I doubt that seller has even unscrewed one screw of it.
Phaedrus, can you tell me if modular cables from Tagan BZ 800w (pipe rock series) are compatible with Tagan BZII 680w (pipe rock II series)? Of course, they are physically the same, I worry about blowing my gpu or hdds- is it safe to use them, or I risk something? Taking used bzII-680 and cables from bz800 is the most "economic" option I can choose

Nevermind about that Tagan, is OCZ Modxstream 600 a good unit? Or maybe Corsair TX650v2 is superior to ocz and worth adding few bucks? But then again it doesn't have modular cables...

Well, probably, but it's difficult to be certain without manually comparing the pinout. Or, you know, emailing them and hoping to get a response.

The TXv2 is better electronically and build-quality-wise. Comes down to priorities: quality and performance vs. functionality.
