Prime 95 roughly reaches the same temp with all cores maxed but i would never run prime at this overclock for a year or 2 straight. So the risk on this pc for Folding i think is way to high.I do want to fold but will have to use another Pc.And by the looks of it one with some major cooling. Its funny because i was watching youtube with people folding on laptops. How is that even Possible if i rig like mine with all the cooling i have cant run it without burning up?
It puts same load on your cores as Prime95 does.
I don't fully understand your point of view.
This is just like at stress test. If your overclock wasn't stable at these temps 24/7 before you started your WU/folding, then your overclock isn't 100% reliable.
65C isn't going to blow up your CPU. It's getting close to maximum but it's not near it yet. As long as you are below 72C then you are good.
You are never stressing your computer at 100% core load ? If you don't, you'll never know when your overclock might result on a BSoD.Edit:
Btw ... Haven't you given that CPU pretty much voltage for 4,8GHz ? No wonder it gets hot.Edited by p4p3r - 5/8/11 at 9:37am
