I don't fully understand your point of view.
This is just like at stress test. If your overclock wasn't stable at these temps 24/7 before you started your WU/folding, then your overclock isn't 100% reliable.
65C isn't going to blow up your CPU. It's getting close to maximum but it's not near it yet. As long as you are below 72C then you are good.
You are never stressing your computer at 100% core load ? If you don't, you'll never know when your overclock might result on a BSoD.
Edit: Btw ... Haven't you given that CPU pretty much voltage for 4,8GHz ? No wonder it gets hot.
My Pc is 100% Prime Stable i had Prime running all weakend when i went Camping,Thats not my point. My point is on this pc i would never run Prime95 for a year straight or any really really long period of time. The thing that worries me is right now my Cpu gets a break when i am not using it then it downclocks and runs cool.Same with Gpu's ect.I know 65c is not high for running prime ect but i dont want to run them temps 24/7 on this rig.I would much rather slap together some Pc that didnt cost me an arm and a leg.It took me Years to get the initial money up to build a high end pc and i have just benn sellling them and upgrading as time went on.If i was rich i wouldnt care but if this thing blew up there is no way i could replace it financially.
I only just learned of Folding and from all the videos ect i watched on it people were just running it on laptops ect.I thought folding just meant a little app that ran in the background or maby something i could put one of my old pc's to work doing.I had no idea in the world is was like a non stop stress test.Maby i had it setup wrong or something but running 2 brand new high end Gpu's and a brand new Cpu all the time at stress levels just isnt going to work for me
Sorry i really wanted to fold but it going to have to be on one of my older pc's and ill through an old external liquid cooling system i have lying around here on it.(I think the old cooling system i have is a Thermaltake Aquarius III)
Thanks for all the help though guys it is highly appreciated.
oh and to my Voltage question when my processor kicks upto 4.8ghz my voltage reads roughly 1.48v max and temps roughly 65c to 67c max while running Prime
