DRAM Frequency for Corsair Vengance 8g Dual channel

Thread Starter
I've got to the point where I'll be needing to adjust my memory's voltages but from what I've read this can be dangerous for the hardware if not set properly.

The guides I've seen show triple channel memory which seems to have different frequency than mine.

From what I've seen on Corsair's site it's rated for 1.5v, is this what I should set my DRAM frequency in BIOS for?
What kind of tolerance range would it have?
Should I ever set it higher?

Thanks!

the sticks will handle 1.65v easy, which is the most you would want to run through your i7 long term

Well i've been booting at 1.65v on this set of ram all day (the same ram as yours). It should be able to handle that amount just fine from what i've read.

Depends what frequencies and latencies your aiming for really.

Second that. More is not supported from most (all) RAM producers for DDR3.
I run my RAM a tad lower than 1,65v just so be in the safe zone

What? I assume you mean that he doesn`t need that much volt if he is using his RAM @lower frequencies/looser timing and that 1,65 will only be needed if he o.c. his RAM.

Yes that's what i meant. The greater the overclock the greater the volts needed.

Well, I'm not trying to OC my ram specifically, but most info I read about OC'ing the CPU include increasing dram frequency & voltage, so I'm trying to gauge what settings to use.

Though, if it's rated for 1.5v, why the 1.65?
