An unusual situation - Page 3

I'm running the CL9 ripjaws on my CHIII at 1600, and it's fine. I had to manually enter the memory specs as it wouldn't pick up the profile, so I just fired up CPU-z and found the specs and put those into BIOS.

yeah had to enter in the timings and set it to 1600 but I don't think I have ever had windows load faster, not even when I had my ssd hooked up . Still running prime at stock settings now, been going for 30 mins with iTunes running too so I'll be alerted if it crashes. I'll prolly see how long prime will run then try for some overclocking tomorrow. Thanks so much guys for the support!

Well I guess I'll give up trying to overclock this thing. Been trying last couple days and best I can do is 3.3 with a .5 multiplier bump and thats iffy coz prime crashed 40 mins in.

It did run prime 14 hrs solid without any OC tho so I am pleased to have stable 1600 memory now.
Again thanks for helping me figure out I had bad ram and getting that whole mess sorted out.
