Valve Complete Pack $99.99 a good deal?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I was thinking about buying Portal 2, but I noticed the Valve Complete Pack for 99.99. Does this sound like a good deal? Any input is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Do you already own any valve games?

Not sure what the $-£ exchange rate is but it's £49.99 in the UK, sounds a little expensive over there.

Depends if you have played or are interested in the other games. If you haven't, it's a heck of a deal.

Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, CounterStrike (Source/non Source), even Day of Defeat all have very active online communities. The original Half Life is still a great game to play through, if you can get past the aged graphics. And of course, Half Life 2 and it's episodes are amazing and look decent enough. Add in Portal 1/2 and it's a great deal.

If you're going to get Portal 2 anyway, for 50 more bucks it's a hell of a lot of quality content.

It goes on sale every once in a long while. But if you do have the games in it you wont be disappointed they are all great!

Definitely; buying all those games individually would cost more than twice that much.

Totally worth it. Will be picking the set up once I build my rig later this year.

But as everyone above me has said. 110% worth the purchase!

Wesker.

I would wait for the summer sale. I know it has been $50 before and it was accidentally reduced to $25 once.

But that is just me. I can hardly buy anything at full price anymore on Steam since they have so many awesome sales!

Really? Did you purchase it at $25 and have a receipt to prove it? I can tell you that it was NEVER on sale for $24.99, it was a text error and still showed $49.99 once added to cart. rolleyes.gif

This went on sale twice last year, first week of July and Christmas week. ($66.99/$49.99)

As others have said, it's worthwhile if you don't have any of the games already. The only three games I don't have from the pack are Counter Strike Condition Zero, Half Life Source and Portal 2.

Buy it. It was the first thing I bought on steam, and it served me very well. It will be a few months until it drops again, so IMO not really worth waiting. Easily thousands of hours of fun.

Portal 1, Portal 2, TF2, L4D, L4D2, CSS, HL, HL2, HL2:E1, HL2:E2

Yeah I'd definitely pay $99 for that.
