I found that using Windows sound at 5.1 and setting creative console to headphones and having cmss-3d on was my best bet. With console at 5.1 with dts, it sounded like there were positional sounds missing. For example if I tossed a grenade up a hall and turned around, I wouldn't hear the explosion at all. When setting it to headphones and keeping windows at 5.1 and disabling dts it sounded much better. Could I have dts enabled and still set the creative console to headphones so that it upmixes the surround sound?
